About

Viscera Energy Operations and Maintenance Limited is a Nigerian energy infrastructure company with a U.S. affiliate, Viscera Energy O&M LLC, registered in Texas. Founder and Managing Director Modupe Famurewa, FNSE, built the company on one principle: the most credible partner to operate and maintain energy equipment is the partner authorised to supply it. Viscera combines direct OEM supply authority with the engineering depth to install, run and maintain that equipment across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Direct OEM partnerships

Viscera holds direct factory agreements (distribution, agency or sole authorisation) with more than 30 manufacturers in 12 countries across Europe, the United States and Asia. These are not reseller arrangements. Partners cover valves (BVT, FEVISA, HP Valves, KVT, HAWLE, ZETKAMA, HERZ), compressors (Burckhardt Compression, UNTES), pumps (Flowserve, Coffin Turbo Pump, Xi'an Pump & Valve), power (AKSA, Moov Solar), metering and instrumentation (Tormene, Petrotex), HVAC (Airtrust, Skay) and line pipe and steel (Kardemir, Mahavir). Because each relationship is direct, clients receive factory documentation, material test certificates and warranty backing traceable to the manufacturer.

Source. Deploy. Operate.

Source (procurement and supply): Viscera supplies OEM-authorised equipment with full certification trace. The range includes gate, globe, ball, butterfly, control, check and specialty valves; rotating equipment with factory test reports; line pipe and structural materials with MTCs; HVAC systems; diesel generator sets and solar packages; and custody transfer and pressure reduction metering systems (CTMS/PRMS). The company coordinates Factory Acceptance Tests and supports regulatory clearance, including SONCAP and NCS-PAAR.

Deploy (engineering and integration): With global engineering partners, Viscera provides process design and P&IDs; oil and gas facility design for fixed and floating, onshore and offshore assets; pipeline design to ASME B31.4 and B31.8; CTMS/PRMS specification; modular and prefabricated unit design; EPC support; OEM-to-EPC interface management; and technical staffing for project phases.

Operate (operations, maintenance and integrity): Viscera's O&M work draws on OEM factory training, genuine spare parts and technical documentation. Scope covers valve inspection and maintenance, rotating equipment O&M, pipeline integrity (API 570, ASME B31.4), static equipment inspection (API 510, API 653), HVAC commissioning and maintenance programmes, field services under OEM terms, digital pipeline integrity solutions and asset management planning.

Every engagement follows five stages: Specify, Source, Deliver, Commission and Support. One partner stays accountable from equipment specification through to long-term field support.

Markets and sectors

Viscera serves upstream oil and gas, midstream and gas, power generation, water infrastructure and industrial process facilities, working with operators, EPC contractors and engineering firms. Its markets are Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, Cameroon, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea, plus Kuwait.

Selected projects

TOPEK Engineering, Nigeria (2021, upstream): Gate and globe valves and line pipe from HP Valves and KVT. The equipment passed FAT and was accepted by the client with full OEM documentation.

Tema Pipeline Project, Ghana (2022, midstream): Pipeline valves and fittings from BVT (Sweden) and FEVISA (Spain), supplied through NetcoDietsmann. Full traceability documentation was delivered, and the client noted its certification completeness.

IDC Ghana (2022, industrial): Industrial valves and instrumentation from HP Valves and HERZ (Austria). Full MTCs and pressure test certificates were delivered, with zero NCRs on delivery inspection.

LPE3 Power Project, Nigeria (2023, power): A 1.5 MW AKSA diesel generator set was delivered, and Viscera maintains after-sales support.

NGIC, Nigeria (2023–2024, midstream): A custody transfer metering package with Tormene SpA (Italy) and Arc Engineering (USA). The technical specification is finalised, the OEM factory audit is complete and the purchase order is under execution.

Growth focus

Viscera is now expanding its OEM portfolio for offshore West and Central Africa, with a focus on FPSO and O&M applications. Target categories include rotating equipment, critical valves, filtration, instrumentation and control systems, and topsides packages. The goal is to give FPSO operators in Nigeria, Angola, Ghana, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and the Republic of Congo one accountable partner for authorised supply, spares and field support.
