Project Partners for Light on the Horizon – DR Congo

Project Cooperation – Building a Better Future in DR Congo

Light on the Horizon (Lumière à l’Horizon) is a Christian humanitarian non-profit organisation founded in Austria in 2007 by Isabelle Ntumba Biakana.

Our mission is to improve the lives of vulnerable children, orphans and disadvantaged communities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, particularly in Mbuji-Mayi.

In December 2025, we inaugurated the House of Hope (Maison de l’Espoir), a children's care centre providing a safe environment, daily care and access to education for children in need.

We are now seeking committed project partners, sponsors, companies, foundations and international organisations to help us develop and expand our work.

Our priority projects include:

• House of Hope: Supporting children's daily needs, education, healthcare and long-term development.

• Clean Water: Developing a reliable water supply for the children's centre and improving access to safe water.

• Education: Supporting school attendance, educational materials and future learning opportunities.

• Sustainable Agriculture: Developing agricultural activities to improve food security, encourage self-sufficiency and create local opportunities.

• Healthcare and Community Development: Exploring sustainable solutions to improve the well-being of children and vulnerable families.

We welcome financial support, technical expertise, equipment, knowledge sharing and long-term project cooperation.

Our experience in Mbuji-Mayi demonstrates our commitment to turning compassion into practical action.

We believe that successful cooperation is built on transparency, accountability, mutual trust and shared responsibility.

We are looking for partners who want to make a real and lasting difference.

Together, we can give vulnerable children hope, create opportunities and build a better future.
